All the one million of you that have joined the platform since it first launched in 2019 have allowed us to raise money from investors who also believed queer online spaces need to thrive. But now this Lex community is at risk, and it’s time for this army of lovers to rise again and keep making the internet gay with us.

How can you help make the internet gay?

The reality is, most major social media platforms weren’t made with queer people in mind. We have to make them ourselves, and we have to come together to help them thrive. We’ve got a few ways lined up for you to support Lex and keep this little gay corner of the internet growing.

What’s our plan moving forward?

The features we’re dreaming of will change the internet for the better and we’re so impatient to make it happen. While we’re limited by the material reality of funding the journey to get there, we know our community is powerful and that we can make it happen together. Our vision to support our queer community includes:

• Fun, flirty, creative ways for you to connect, share resources, support queer businesses, and enable one another to thrive
• Highly customizable privacy settings and better safety precautions
• Unique moderation tools that don’t sexualize queer bodies or silence trans and POC voices
• What ever other cute gay ideas the community asks us for

We built Lex to create a connection to the gay world we wished we all had growing up. We’re here to create a space for all expressions of you. We believe none of us should ever have to feel alone in our queerness. We’re so grateful for how far we’ve come from one little Instagram account, and we couldn’t have done that without you all. The future is queer, and the future has Lex in it.
