Community Safety Standards

1. Child Safety & Prohibition of CSAE

Lex has zero tolerance for anything that endangers or exploits minors.

You may not post, share, request, or engage in:

Child sexual abuse or exploitation (CSAE)
Sexualized content involving anyone under 18
Grooming, solicitation, or attempts to contact minors for inappropriate purposes
Nude, sexual, or suggestive imagery of minors
Encouraging, facilitating, or depicting harm to children

Any violation results in immediate removal and reporting to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and relevant authorities as required by law.

2. User-Generated Content Rules

Lex contains public and private user-generated content (events, maps, groups, posts, comments, messages). You must not upload or share:

Illegal Content

CSAE
Human trafficking
Non-consensual intimate imagery
Revenge porn
Explicit or illegal drug sales
Weapons trafficking
Fraud or scams
Copyrighted content without permission

Violence & Harm

Do not post:

Threats, harassment, or doxxing
Violent or graphic content
Self-harm encouragement
Hate speech or hateful actions

Sexual Content

Allowed:

Normal adult dating and social content

Not allowed:

Pornography
Graphic sexual acts
Any sexual content involving minors
Commercial sexual services

Misinformation & Safety Risks

Do not:

Promote dangerous conspiracies
Share harmful medical misinformation
Encourage unsafe or illegal activities

3. Behavior & Conduct Expectations

Lex is a community for respectful social discovery. You may not:

Harass, bully, or intimidate other users
Engage in hate speech targeting protected groups
Impersonate others
Use Lex for spam, mass-messaging, bots, or fake engagement
Attempt to harm, exploit, or manipulate the platform
Interfere with other users' ability to enjoy the app

We encourage:

Respectful dialogue
Kindness in group interactions
Reporting harmful or suspicious activity

4. Event & Location-Based Content

Because Lex highlights events, places, and communities:

You may not:

Create fake events or misleading listings
Promote illegal or unsafe gatherings
Post exact addresses of private residences without consent
Encourage stalking or unwanted contact
Use geolocation to track, threaten, or intimidate anyone

Event creators must provide:

Accurate dates, locations, and descriptions
Clear safety and age requirements
Truthful representations of the event

Users must respect each other’s privacy.

You may not:

Share private messages, screenshots, or personal info without consent
Post personal data (addresses, phone numbers, emails) of others
Upload photos of people without their permission
Use Lex to obtain or share sensitive data about others

We strongly encourage all users to protect their personal safety when meeting people from the app.

6. Commercial Activity

Lex cannot be used for:

Unapproved advertising or solicitation
Coordinated spam promotion
Sale of illegal goods or services
Multi-level marketing schemes
Paid escort or commercial sex services

Allowed:

Personal recommendations
Non-commercial groups and events
Approved partners and advertisers

7. Platform Integrity

You may not:

Manipulate rankings or discovery
Create fake accounts
Automate activity without authorization
Attempt to hack, scrape, or reverse-engineer our systems
Interfere with Lex’s normal operation

8. Reporting & Enforcement

You can report harmful content or users directly in the app. Our team reviews reports and may take action including:

Removing content
Restricting features
Temporarily suspending accounts
Permanently banning accounts
Reporting illegal activity to authorities

Lex uses automated systems + human review to enforce safety.

9. Age Requirements

Lex is for users 18+ only.

Minors are not permitted to create accounts or use the platform.

10. Updates to These Guidelines

Lex. may update these guidelines to maintain safety and comply with legal requirements. We will notify users of significant changes.
