How do I make an Event on Lex?

You can now host and attend Events through Lex! We're so excited to keep building out this feature, and we'll add any frequently asked questions about it to this article. For now, we'll go over the basics.

How do I make an Event?

You can make Events one of two ways:

In the post creation screen

1. Open up the post creation screen like normal,
2. Tap on the little calendar icon to the right of your comments settings
3. Edit your Event to your liking and publish it to the feed!

From 'Your events'

1. Tap on the smiley face icon to visit your profile
2. Next to 'My Posts' and 'My groups', you'll see a new option called 'My Events'. Tap on it!
3. On the 'Your Events' screen, you can top on the yellow calendar icon in the bottom right corner to create a new Event and post it to the feed.

What information is required to make an event?

When you're making an Event, you will need a title, description, location, and the time of the event to publish. You can optionally add a link to tickets or more information, and you can select different cover art.

How do I find out about Events in my area?

To find Events in your area (or anywhere, since you can make online Events), tap the 'Events' tag to filter the main feed. If results are limited, try adjusting your filters in the filters screen.

How do I RSVP to an Event?

You can RSVP from the feed by tapping 'RSVP' on an Event post, or you can open the event and tap RSVP.

To rescind an RSVP, simply tap on the same RSVP button and it will revert back to the way it was.

How do I delete an Event?

To delete an Event you created, tap the three dots in the top right corner and tap 'Delete Event'.
